WHY WE STARTED
Walk through any market in Ghana—Kejetia in Kumasi, Makola in Accra, or the vibrant stalls in Tamale—and you'll see incredible entrepreneurs selling everything from beautiful kente cloth to handcrafted furniture, fresh produce to delicious local cuisine.
But their reach was limited to foot traffic. A brilliant seamstress in Ho couldn't easily sell to customers in Accra. A furniture maker in Kumasi couldn't showcase their work to buyers in Takoradi.
That's where oKDdwa comes in. We saw the incredible potential of Ghana's merchants and knew that with the right digital tools, they could serve customers nationwide while preserving the personal touch that makes Ghanaian commerce special.
Today, someone in Accra can order fresh vegetables from a farmer in the Northern Region, beautiful textiles from Kente weavers in Bonwire, or handcrafted jewelry from artisans in Bolgatanga—all while supporting local businesses and keeping money in Ghanaian communities.
